Shore Acres State Park isn’t just a summer destination for weddings and tourists.
It’s one of the Oregon Coast’s bright spots in winter with the Friends of Shore Acres annual Holiday Lights.
The day use fee of $5 is worth it to see the Pacific Ocean crashing below your feet, hike down the trail to a once-private beach or visit the rose garden, formal gardens, botanical garden and The Garden House of lumber tycoon Louis J. Simpson.
If you time it right, you can catch an outside concert.
Check the park schedule and plan your visit. Hours are from 8 a.m. to sunset.
