Water falls

• Take Coos River Highway 241 to Allegany and follow the signs. Once you get to Golden & Silver Falls on Upper Glenn Creek you can hike up to the falls. This local historical trail was once the passageway from the Millicoma River to Ash Valley, south of Loon Lake.

  1. I’ve stated, many times, that these Falls are the best kept secret in Coos County. Perhaps, this is because of the ‘terrible’ road into and out of the Falls Area Park. Or could be the lack of County facilities offered at the park. With a little TLC to the road, widen for RV/Over night facilities, this could become a very profitable park for Coos County. I know a lot of County Attention is being to ‘Riley Ranch’ County Park and rightly so. After the Ranch Park is completed and making money spend some County’ dollars on Gold and Silver County Park and it to could be profitable. By improving the road for all users: bikers, Pedestrians and RV/Autos out best kept secret will become our best money maker!! Just my opinion. Geno Landrum ‘Lets do more with what we have’.
